Chiangmai Restaurant Guide

River Ping Palace Restaurant & Guesthouse

Located on the banks of the River Ping, 1km from the city center and just around the corner from the Sheraton Hotel, is one of Chiang Mai's hidden secrets.

This 5 star quality restaurant and beautiful antique genuine Thai Teak guesthouse is off the usual tourist tracks, and is more than worth the effort to visit.

The restaurant and guesthouse overlook the river and sits beside a tranquil tropical garden. Sit and enjoy the river slowly meander past as you enjoy some of the best Thai style courtesies you will experience as well as some of the best dining experiences in Thailand.

Khun Ester (Owner and chef extrodinaire) will not only cook to order but will also modify dishes on request for example less of the chilli or more depending on your personal ability to handle really spicy dishes). The menu in Thai and English is easy to navigate and Khun Ester will assist with suggestions and ideas.

Finish the experience with samples of deserts and great Thai coffee. This is my favorite Thai restaurant.

Book ahead as this restaurant is gaining an enviable reputation and you do want to make sure that you havea reservation.
